Het Buitenlokaal, located near Dwingeloo, offers exactly what you are looking for. By renting the three attractive apartments together, you have a spacious and characterful group home for up to 16 people (+ possibly 3 babies). Here you can combine the pleasure of being together with the luxury of your own space.
Three apartments, one special experience
Het Buitenlokaal is located in a former village school, which has been converted with an eye for detail into three charming apartments:
- Apartment 1 – at the front of the building, suitable for 4 people
- Apartment 2 – at the side, for 6 people
- Apartment 3 – in the former gym, also for 6 people
Together they form a large holiday home in which you can enjoy plenty of space, three living rooms, three fully equipped kitchens and several bathrooms. Ideal for being together, with the option of retreating for a while.

There is enough space to place up to 3 cots.
Enjoy the outdoors together
The large garden around the old school invites you to relax, play and be together. Take a seat at the 16-person picnic table, prepare something tasty in the Fikki outdoor oven or rent the hot tub for extra relaxation. Children can have fun on the trampoline or have adventures in the private forest behind the grounds.
Close to nature and charming villages
Het Buitenlokaal is located near the Dwingelderveld National Park and the Drents-Friese Wold – perfect for hiking and cycling. In the nearby village of Dwingeloo you will find nice restaurants, terraces and shops. Also nice: an evening at Shakespeare theatre in Diever or a visit to the historic Colonies of Benevolence in Frederiksoord.
Sustainable and carefree stay
Upon arrival, all beds are made with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen, and towels and kitchen linen are ready. The group house has been sustainably renovated with natural materials, underfloor heating and energy-efficient lighting. Waste is separated and we use 100% renewable energy.
